Different eligibility criteria apply for these rebates. A low income household may be eligible to receive both the State Government and the Australian Government rebate for their installation.

Schools are not eligible for funding under this plan but can apply for grants under the National Solar Schools Program (below).
This subsidy will be replaced by a solar credits scheme from July 2009.
